Shirlett Stapleton serves as the Administrative Services Manager for The Children’s Defense Fund’s Southern Regional Office in Jackson, MS and has been with the organization since 2005. Her work involves providing administrative and program oversight support to the Southern Regional Director, providing general support to the CDF Southern Regional office, as well as oversight for centralized operations that meet the needs of multiple program areas. She oversees all accounts payable and receivable transactions for the Southern Regional Office. Shirlett has worked on several initiatives at CDF-SRO, such as the Southern Rural Black Women’s Initiative (SRBWI), Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids (SPARK), Katrina Resource and Referral and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). Shirlett is a graduate of Jackson State University. She has a B.A. in Business Administration.
