Damesha Bouie is a Servant Leader Intern at the Children’s Defense Fund Broad Street Freedom School. She is a senior at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux La, studying Government. Prior to joining CDF, Ms. Bouie served as a senior dispatcher for the Jeanerette Police Department for 4 years and as a Reserve Officer at Franklin Police Department in Franklin, La. for 3 years. Once Ms. Bouie completes her Government degree at Nicholls State, she plans to attend Law school at Southern University in Baton Rouge.
