Child Health

Health Coverage for All Children Campaign

With more than 100,000 uninsured children in Mississippi, CDF-SRO actively participates in the national Health Coverage for All Children Campaign launched by the Children's Defense Fund in 2007 that calls guaranteeing every child and pregnant woman comprehensive health and mental health coverage. CDF-SRO encourages Mississippi families in need to apply for CHIP/Medicaid.

Comprehensive, Affordable Health Coverage for Mississippi Children

Children's Medicaid

Federal program provides FREE health coverage
to children in the lowest income families.
At or below 100% of federal poverty level (FPL).

A family of 4 can earn up to $22,356 and qualify

CHIP

Federal-state program provides LOW-COST health
coverage to children whose families earn
too much to qualify for Medicaid but
cannot afford private insurance.

A family of 4 can earn up to $44,700 and qualify
